4 Easy Steps to Be Rust-Free in a Snap
Tackle your rust problem following these simple steps and be rust-free in a snap.
Step 1: Prep
Prep a container. Pour enough EVAPO-RUST® to cover the rusted object completely. Removing excess dirt and oil on the object before soaking is best. The type of container doesn’t matter since EVAPO-RUST® is safe on other metals and does not affect plastic.
Step 2: Soak
Soak the item. Immerse the rusty object in the solution. Let it soak for 30 minutes for light rust or overnight or longer for extremely heavy rust.
Step 3: Rinse
Rinse the item with water when finished. If deep rust remains in pits, re-immerse the item until all the rust is gone. Un-rusted metal will not be affected. NOTE: This stage is especially important in getting the best results.
Step 4: Finish
To prevent flash rusting, dip the item back into clean EVAPO-RUST®. Then allow the item to air dry. This process will prevent rust for up to two weeks. Or spray with EVAPO-RUST® to prevent re-rusting for up to one year.
